Blue Desert (2015)

Blue Desert (2015) The night desert, with camels. These were imported to Australia in the 19th century for transport and heavy work in the outback. Feral camels now present as an ecological disaster and a moral problem in rectifying this disaster. (See BBC News, 2013)  There are some painful parallels in the current treatment of wild camels and the historic treatment of the indigenous human inhabitants of these areas. Each triptych is a unique work The dimensions of each image in this triptych are 12cm x 16cm (unframed) and  23cm x 28cm (framed). Although they are shown below closely juxtaposed, each is in a separate frame and so they may be hung with space between the images.
